This was an excellent survey of various "spillover" infections and how they were identified. It is a fascinating subject, and Quammen handles it very well. Very thorough, but with humor and empathy. The writing style is almost like an accomplished and very knowledgeable storyteller. It works well in audible format, though I read most of it on kindle because it was easier and faster.
My only complaint was that it was so long. I could have done without a bio of every researcher. Although they were well written and individually interesting, there were so many of them that they began to run together in my mind.
