The first five books were enjoyable space opera, if rather unbelievable. I don't have a problem with him being revived after 100 years or being able to solve a lot of the fleet's problems. But I find it hard to accept that an interstellar empire would have so few resources and experienced people. And the politics seems incredibly simple.
But as I said, I mildly enjoyed the first five. However, this one I just couldn't get into. Even curiosity about the aliens didn't seem to motivate me.
