A quick, enjoyable read. Somewhat dated; you could tell it was written in the sixties. A few twists and turns, with very few hints of the true culprit. In fact, I prefer there be a little bit of foreshadowing, so I can try my own ability to evaluate the clues and evidence. The cat was the big attraction for me, and he was well drawn. The human characters were pretty well done, too, although I got some of the supporting newspaper staff confused. Definitely worth reading.
