This was an interesting book, generally well-written and informative. And surprisingly funny. Roach has a wry, witty style, and seems to be pretty thorough. There was one omission that bothered me a little. This was something I discovered when my brother died a couple years ago. His death was unattended and he was definitely not a "beating-heart cadaver", but I learned that there were still many medical ways in which his body could be used, such as cadaver skin for burn victims.
I also thought that Roach got off on an unrelated, and pretty boring, tangent tracking down a cannibalism rumor in China.
But on the whole, it was well done and worth reading.
