This is fairly standard Nora Roberts: likeable middle class characters in small town, white bread America. No angst, not too much sex, not much suspense, enjoyable escapist romance. That's not a criticism; when I'm in the mood for this (which I am sometimes), it's perfect. The only criticism I have with this one is that the danger/suspense seemed almost like an afterthought. The bad guy was not very well developed. Plot was pretty predictable.
